The launch ceremony for the inaugural issue of China Studies, along with an academic seminar on “Exchanges and Mutual Learning among Different Civilizations and the Development of Global China Studies” was held in Shanghai on September 26. The journal aims to advance knowledge of China through rigorous scholarship and to engage the world in dialogue. The event was part of the series of events leading up to the Second World Conference on China Studies later this year.
